SONAR 2024 PROMO (ICE + TR 909)
The challenge was to create authentic, powerful rhythms that channel the spirit and “advanced music” ideal of the festival, using “only” a Roland TR-909. The sound design interacts with the beat and is based mostly on ASMR-style field recordings captured during the shoot. The result feels timeless. Directed by Sergio Caballero for Sónar Festival 2024.
PHRAN: VIMANA DISCPLAY
A tribute to Venezuelan sound system culture (Minitecas). These are snippets from live set presented at Sónar Festival 2023 called ‘Phran presents: Vimana Discplay’ featuring collaborators Ylia, RBS, and Chica Acosta. With visuals by Inkclear and RGB Corp. DAVIS CUP
Original music and sound design for the Mighty Davis Cup. The challenge was to blend the energy and excitement of field recordings from real tennis matches, turned into foley-based electronic beats, with an elegant classical touch that would fit the brand. Directed by Joaquín Urbina / Dedo Ciego.
BRUT: DURRELS
Original music and sound design created using acoustic instruments, combined with custom sound design and foley. Featuring the amazing Adriano Galante on Guitar and Bass and Kitchu (Club Nuclear) on brass. Produced by Brut Works.

ECLIPSE / TALES OF A NUCLEAR WINTER

PHRAN: XENIA EP (Club Romántico)
Xenia was the 2025 debut EP I released as Phran on Club Romántico. Named for the ancient Greek code of hospitality, it’s a record built on connection. The word “scene” comes from “xenia.” Six tracks blending Changa, merengue, Caribbean intensity, bass music, and techno. Featuring DJ Florentino, DJ Plead, Galanjah, DJ Sosa RD, Pocz, DJ Yirvin and Chica Acosta. Promo video by DJ Sosa RD. Xenia Artwork by Ruben García. Out on Club Romántico.
BRUT: CTCP . Sound design and music for the California Department of Health’s anti-smoking campaign. Produced by Brut Works. The challenge was to deliver intensity in the music and sound design while serving and enhancing the storytelling and the message.

XAVI GARCIA: SAPIENS COLLECTION
Original music built from the sounds of real clay molds, the kind typically used to shape eyeglass frames. A rich sub-bass ambience was added to give it power and character.
BBC & LONDON SCIENCE MUSEUM: THE SUN
Music and sound design for this BBC and London Science Museum animation about the sun, in an atmospheric electronica style, featuring my collaborator Ylia on keys. The idea was to create an ambient-style soundtrack that conveys the excitement and mystery of space and the universe, without overshadowing the narration and the story. Visuals by Inkclear for IN-House Works.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED (OST)
Original music and sound design, using real life BDSM recordings, blended with a haunting downtempo track. Volunteers Wanted is an adult filmlm directed by Ron Rex for Erika Lust. The film was recorded at the Berlin Porn Film Festival. NSFW.
PIEDRA, PAPEL O TIJERA (OST)
This scene from ‘Pieda papel o Tijera’, a film by Hernán Jabes, features our track ‘Tuki Love’ released as Pocz & Pacheko, as part of the OST.
BRUT FORCE
Original techno music and sound design for this frenetic animation, created as an Instagram loop for Brut Works and Martin Allais. For this short, loopable analogue techno track, I teamed up with my trusted friend and collaborator Juan Ribes.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED (CLUB SCENE)
Original Soundtrack in dark acid house style, for this adult film recorded at the Berlin Porn Film Festival. Directed by Ron Rex. Track is called ‘Manipulate me’, built by Ivy Barkakati and mysef as IVAN. Out on Best Effort records.
THE HIDDEN TAPE (OST)
Original Soundtrack for this adult film directed by Ron Rex, in an obscure and mysterious ambient drone style. Track ID: Mosaique. Part of my Bore Bore album.
On March 2024, mother Arca invited a few her friends to participate in the first ever Boiler Room takeover in Caracas, the city we grew up in. Earlier that night, I had the pleasure of doing a warm up deejay set before her live debut at ‘La concha acústica de Bello Monte’ in Caracas. Check out my ‘Warm Up for Arca mix’ here.
BEATS x POKEMON PILL
Original music and sound design for the Beats x Pokémon Pill launch film and teaser. The challenge: two sound worlds, one track. Mimikyu’s side draws on uptempo trance and techno, with trippy acid basslines and a darker, psychedelic feel. Pikachu’s is a bright, uplifting power bomb of trance, breakcore, gabber, and happy hardcore. Honestly, I couldn’t believe how cool the references were. Big respect to the Sensitive team for such a clear vision.
RESIDENCE
One of my favourite projects from 2025 was working with the mighty Buck Studios (NYC) on this Residence video series. The idea was to combine fresh rhythms and tones, somewhere between ’80s broadcast nostalgia, ’00s electronica, and IDM, with playful motion and sound design. We added breaks, bass, and fun to the mix. Big up Yker Moreno for the invite.
